So I tried to update my journal last night but it seems that the sections of words that were supposed to be along with the pictures some how did not show up. So I 'll attempt to do this all over again.
The flashlight picture is from our home emergency kit. If ever our family was to get stuck in a natural disaster it's good to know that we would have the right supplies to survive. This flashlight reminded me of the last lab we did where we could see inside the wind able flashlight. So we could experience fist hand that it's made of a wires, a coil of copper, and a magnet. I was decently amazed so I decided to bust ours out of our closet and see how efficient it is. To my surprise, I found out that the flashlight didn't only give off light bu it also played the radio. I was also amazed at the fact that the light could stay on for a very long time after I stopped turning. Now, that I think about it there is a very good possibility that this flashlight has a battery also. I come to this conclusion without actually checking because of the lab and how bad the efficiency was on the other turn flashlights. Even if it does have a battery it's still comforting to know that even in the worst of times the light will always shine on.
The second picture is of my dad's right rear break light. One day my dad was backing out of the garage and my mom who happened to notice that his break light wasn't working she told him it was out. So the next day my dad decided to head on down to NAPA Auto Parts to try and buy a new bulb. When he took the bulb that was burnt out, out I asked to see it because I noticed something peculiar. In some areas the bulb was till white and n others it had become clear. Almost as if a path had been made for us to see directly into the wing and filament. When I saw this I thought to my self that this works out very nicely because most time the bulb is covered in white or a mist/fog of white so that the viewer can't really see anything inside. (I wonder why that is?) Anyways,I immediately thought that this would be good for physics class because then we wouldn't have to go breaking the glass to see what the inners look like it's almost a prefect preservation. It reminded me of a museum because we wanted to see the inside without breaking it but it also needs to be protected pretty sweet.
